FAQ

Common questions.

When should my child first see an orthodontist?

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends an evaluation by age 7. Early assessment allows us to identify any developing issues and plan treatment at the right time, even if treatment isn't needed right away.

How long does orthodontic treatment take?

It depends on the complexity of the case. Most treatments range from 12 to 24 months. Invisalign for adults is typically about one year. We'll give you a realistic timeline during your consultation.

Does orthodontic treatment hurt?

You may experience some soreness for a few days after braces are placed or adjusted, which is normal. Over-the-counter pain relievers and soft foods help. The discomfort is temporary.

Can adults get orthodontic treatment?

Absolutely. We treat patients of all ages. Clear aligners and ceramic braces are popular with adult patients who prefer a more discreet option.

How often will I need to come in?

Typically every 6–8 weeks for adjustments and progress checks. Invisalign patients check in approximately every six weeks.
